The Book of Mormon has officially returned to Melbourne’s Princess Theatre after ten long years, opening officially on February 12th 2026. Audiences praised the heavens that this nine-time Tony Award®-winning Best Musical has graced our stages once again in what has been a sell-out return season.
Starring new and returning faces to the stage, Sean Johnston as Elder Price, Nick Cox as Elder Cunningham, Paris Leveque as Nabulungi, Tom Struik as Elder Mckinley, Simbarashe Matshe as Mafala Hatimbi, Augie Tchantcho as The General, and Matthew Hamilton as Mission President.

The Book of Mormon is produced in Australia by Anne Garefino, Important Musicals and Suzanne Jones for JONES Theatrical Group. The New York Times calls it “the best musical of this century.” The Washington Post says, “It is the kind of evening that restores your faith in musicals.” And Entertainment Weekly says, “Grade A: the funniest musical of all time.”
The story follows the misadventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries, sent on a mission to a place that’s about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get. The Book of Mormon has truly become an international sensation. If you haven’t listened to the full soundtrack yet, you can find the original American cast recordings on all music streaming platforms, or for the first time ever you can watch an Australian recording of the opening number in the musical ‘Hello!‘ on YouTube here:
Alongside the main cast, we see cast members completing the ensemble:
Malachi Alexander, Connor Banks Griffith, Hayden Baum, Jade Baynes, John Rex Berry, Oscar Bridges, Kemari Bryant, Chloe Davison, Deja Simone, Blake Douglas, Bayley John Edmends, Josh Gardiner, Luke Haberecht, Prophecy Mudzingwa, Josh Mulheran, Sekou Salah Nance, Mickey Nixon, Alexis Ijeoma Nwokoji, Justin Phillips, Reynel Renaldo, Callum Rigg, Liam Robertson, Chelsea Smith, and Jasmine Vaughns.
